A Big thank you....

Saturday 20th February was the clubs last visit to their favourite watering hole “The Castle” under Landlords Bill and his good lady.

A very big thank you to Bill and Theresa and all the best for your future.

Sunday 21st February 2010

Two giant games in one week, I though some of the players would have been feeling the effects of the Cumberland Cup game.

Wrong...

3 goals up, everyone thought “job done” but no.... Shap get 3 goals and it’s extra time again! When Shap were awarded a penalty it was not looking good, Chris saves an we’re still in it. Then... That goal, a winner and we’re in the semi’s. This was not just another match.

The team spirit shown was phenomenal and credit to every single player. Supporters of Wetheriggs have enjoyed a feast of football and effort, many have said how proud they are to be able to watch such a dedicated group of players... I certainly endorse that.

WELL DONE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

Peter Brookes.
